Voting brackets turn a tournament into a popularity contest, which is the whole point for 'best song of the decade', 'GOAT athlete', or 'favorite breakfast cereal' polls. Each match opens for voting at its own URL, vote counts update live, and when the deadline hits the higher vote total advances. Common uses: fan polls on social, in-stream esports polls between matches, March Madness-style 'best of' brackets for non-sports stuff.
