Walkthrough

How this format works

Round 1 matchup poll

Option A advances64%
Option B36%

Each matchup is a poll. The entry with more votes advances, so no scores are needed.

Build one step by step

From an empty editor to a finished, printable voting bracket.

  1. 1

    Add your entries

Put in the songs, players, logos, foods, anything your audience will vote on.

  2. 2

    Generate the matchups

The editor pairs the entries into a knockout bracket of head-to-head polls.

  3. 3

    Open round one for voting

Share the bracket. Every matchup is a poll, and the entry with more votes wins the round.

  4. 4

    Advance the winners

Close each round, move the winners forward, then open the next round of polls.

  5. 5

    Crown the favorite

The final poll settles the bracket. Votes, not scores, pick the winner.

About

About this format

Voting brackets turn a tournament into a popularity contest, which is the whole point for 'best song of the decade', 'GOAT athlete', or 'favourite breakfast cereal' polls. Add items (with optional images), seed them top-to-bottom, and the editor lays out a single-elimination bracket from 4 to 32 slots. Type the vote count for each side and the winner advances automatically. Common uses: fan polls on social, in-stream esports polls between matches, March Madness-style 'best of' brackets for non-sports stuff. Votes save in your browser; no signup, no backend.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where do the votes come from?

You enter them manually. Run the poll wherever your audience hangs out (Twitter/X, Instagram Stories, Discord, an email list), collect the tally, type the count for each side. Public voting URLs with cookie-tracked one-vote-per-visitor is on the roadmap.

What can I put in the bracket?

Whatever fits: songs, movies, players, brands, breakfast cereals, sandwich shops. Each item is just a name with an optional image URL — paste a cover, a photo, or a logo and it shows on each card.

What if my item count isn't a power of two?

Pick the next size up. Top seeds get a first-round bye and advance into round 2 automatically. A 12-item poll into a 16-slot bracket gives the top 4 seeds byes.
