Build one step by step

From an empty editor to a finished, printable softball bracket.

  1. 1

    Add your teams

Type each team or player into the editor, or paste a whole list at once. Single elimination works for 4 up to 64 names.

  2. 2

    Set the seeding

Order matters. Seed 1 should be your strongest team. The editor pairs seed 1 against the bottom seed, 2 against the next, so the top two can only meet in the final.

  3. 3

    Generate the bracket

Hit Generate. If your team count is not a power of two, the top seeds get first-round byes automatically so the bracket still ends with one champion.

  4. 4

    Score the games

Type a score into each match. The winner advances to the next round on its own, all the way to the final.

  5. 5

    Print or share

Pick landscape or portrait, then print to PDF. Or save the bracket and share the link so everyone follows along.

About

About this format

Softball tournaments come in every shape. A church-league Saturday with eight teams. A travel-ball weekend with 24. A slow-pitch beer league settling its season. The format choice usually comes down to time: single elimination finishes fast, double elimination is fairer because no team goes home on one bad game. Most weekend softball tournaments lean double elimination for exactly that reason. Pick your size, pick your format, and print the wallchart for the scorer's table.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Single or double elimination for a softball tournament?

If you have to finish in a day and field space is tight, go single elimination. If you want to be fair to a good team that loses one close game early, go double. Most weekend softball tournaments choose double.

Does this work for slow-pitch and travel ball?

Yes. The bracket doesn't care what kind of softball you play. Set your team count, fill in the names, and score games as they finish.
