About this format

The CFP went to 12 teams in 2024. Top 4 seeds get a quarterfinal bye. Seeds 5–12 play first round at the higher seed's home stadium: 5 hosts 12, 6 hosts 11, 7 hosts 10, 8 hosts 9. From the quarterfinals on, games rotate through the major bowls (Rose, Sugar, Fiesta, Peach, Orange, Cotton), with the championship at a neutral site. Use this for a tailgate wallchart, a CFP pool with friends, or a paper picksheet before kickoff.
